Our Story
Started in 1998, Akal Optical has quickly become part of the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) community. With 22 locations across GTA including Mississauga, Milton, Brampton, Vaughan, Markham, Scarborough, Burlington and Now in Oakville.
The company was started by Avninder Singh in Etobicoke, where he served the multicultural communities and saw a great opportunity and need for more locations. The goal of the company is to continue serving the community with the best possible customer care, and selection of eye care products, supervised by qualified professionals. We strive to be the reputable optical chain with multiple locations.
Along with carrying the High-End Luxury Brands for glasses, Akal Optical offers contact lenses, sunglasses and fully equipped optometrist office which includes retinography and takes images of your eye and visual field. It is a perfect combination of Optical and Optometry.
